Known and accessible caves are uncommon across the Central Highlands, so far we have only located two attractions that qualify. Brittania Creek is the most adventurous of the caving opportunities that features tight squeezes, layered labyrinths that water has carved out over millennia and glow worms that reside in the darkness. Mushroom rocks does not offer the same experience, but features large granite tors with tight squeezes between boulders and large open passageways.

Help support our work in expressing the conservation needs and compelling opportunities that we could address through the establishment of the Great Forest National Park for Victoria.
